Lesson and Payment Policies

Lessons are held once a week for 34 weeks from Sept-May.  There will be no lessons for Thanksgiving week, two weeks in December, one week in March and one week in April.  The cost of lessons will be as follows, regardless of how many lessons are in any given month:

$112 per month for 30 minute lessons

$168 per month for 45 minute lessons

$224 per month for 60 minute lessons

During June and July students will pay for each lesson they take, allowing for family vacations and other schedules. Lessons are $28 for each 30-minute lesson.

Payment:

Payment is due in full on the first lesson of each month.

Lessons must be paid in full before services can be delivered.

If a check is returned by the bank, the bank fee will be charged.

Attendance:

There will be no refunds or credits for “missed lessons.”  If the teacher is absent, a make-up lesson will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time, or a credit will be given.  You are paying to reserve a specific time with a professional.

With enough advance notice students will have the opportunity to make-up up to two lessons during the year, once during Thanksgiving week and once during April.

Any student failing to appear for two consecutive lessons without proper notice will forfeit their designated time slot.

In the event that you should wish to discontinue lessons, you are responsible for giving a two-week notice.

Expectations:

All students are expected to practice the same length of time as their lesson.  For example, 30 minutes of daily practice is required for a 30-minute lesson.  Lack of practice may result in forfeiting your lesson time to the next student on the wait list.

Students will need a notebook for lesson assignments.  It is the student’s responsibility to bring the notebook and all music to every lesson.
